The New York Police Department said the incident happened around 8pm when the teenager took the N train northbound and drove into the 36th Street subway station in Sunset Park.
Authorities said that things escalated when the man hit her forehead with a glass wine bottle and then fled the train at the station.
According to the police, the victim was cut on the forehead and was taken by the emergency center to the district hospital, where she was treated and released.
Officials said the man being hunted was in his 20s, was about 5 feet tall, 7 inches tall, weighed about 130 pounds, was slender, and had a tail tied into a ponytail.
